Born and raised in Honolulu, Fran Fong has taught art on O‘ahu for over 15 years. She received her BFA from the California College of Arts in Oakland, CA., with a focus on fiber and textiles. Over the years, she has been the proprietor of several art businesses, such as Paint The Town Hawaii (hand-painted wooden items) and Little Mango (lino-cut print babywear). Since 2014, she's been an elementary school art teacher within the Hawaii Department of Education.
In 2012, she founded After School Art Studio--a traveling art enrichment program inspired by her passion for helping young students develop a lifelong enjoyment for the visual arts. After School Art Studio focuses on art enrichment through unconventional mediums, narrative-driven projects, and a strong belief in a student's free creativity.
